We remember these faces.  We remember these faces.  This is the “Challenger Crew. 29 years ago they came into our world as the crew that would take a teacher in to space.  Christa McAuliffe, age 37, mother of 9 year old Scott and 6 year old Caroline, wife of Steve, lived in Concord New Hampshire and was selected out of more than 11,000 applicants for the "Teacher In Space" program, as a way to get the public more involved and interested in the space programs.  73 seconds into the flight, things went very wrong and the Challenger blew up, killing all 7 on board.  RIP Challenger Crew, January 28, 1986.
