Waterloo Man ID’ed as Victim of Fatal Cycle Accident

We now know the name of the motorcyclist who lost his life in a traffic accident in Cedar Falls.

19 year old Tristan Michael Kabela of Waterloo, was the operator of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Highway 58 in Cedar Falls at about 5pm Wednesday night. It happened just north of Viking Road.

Cedar Falls police report that Kabela was trying to improperly pass 2 cars on the highway, when he lost control, and crashed into the center cable barrier.

Kabela was taken to Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls, where he died from head injuries.

The accident was investigated by Cedar Falls Police, Iowa State Patrol, and Black Hawk County Sheriff.
