A Waterloo man has been arrested for first-degree murder, in connection with the August shooting death of a Minneapolis man.

Rodolfo Gonzalez Pena, 36, was charged by Waterloo police Monday; he had already been in custody on other charges. Pena is accused of shooting Celio Posada, 35, in the parking lot of the El Senior Tequila Nightclub in Waterloo, shortly after midnight on August 23rd.

Posada was found outside the nightclub with a gunshot wound; he was later pronounced dead.

The night of the shooting, a Black Hawk County sheriff's deputy had witnessed Pena's car being driven without its headlights on, about a block from the nightclub. Pena was stopped and initially charged with driving with a suspended license. Authorities also charged Pena with carrying weapons, after officials found a handgun in his vehicle.

Pena's bond is set at $500,000.
