A Waterloo man, wanted on an outstanding warrant, has been arrested in Oelwein.

Shortly after 7pm Sunday (May 6), following an interaction with officers in the 10 block of East Charles, 24 year old Darrick Eubanks jr. was taken into custody. Eubanks was wanted on a Black Hawk county warrant for Voluntary Absense from custody on the original charges of Domestic Abuse and Criminal Mischief-3rd Degree.

The Oelwein Police Department was called shortly after 4am Saturday, by someone reporting a stolen vehicle. A 2003 BMW XI was reported stolen from the 100 block of South Frederick Avenue. The car was later located in the morning, and returned to the owner.

Oelwein Police received a report of a burglary Friday morning in the 10 block of 5th Street NW.

Also Friday morning, police got a report of a theft in the 10 block of 1st Avenue SE. Both incidents are under investigation.
