WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — A Waterloo man found with substantial burns at the scene of a house fire last month has been arrested on suspicion of arson and drug manufacturing charges.

59-year-old Dale Hansen was arrested Friday. He's charged with second-degree arson, unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

On Jan. 4, police and firefighters responding to a house fire found Hansen at the scene with burns and took him to a local hospital.

Police say a search of the house turned up items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
