We have a video comparing Friday afternoon Cedar River levels in Cedar Falls and Waterloo with Saturday morning.

At last report, both crest high water marks were lowered again for the Cedar River in Cedar Falls and Waterloo.

At 1:45 PM, the river was measured at 98.9 feet in Cedar Falls. The forecast called for a peak of 99.0 feet this afternoon. The make it the second highest crest in Cedar Falls.

At 1:00 PM, the river was measured at 22.86 feet. The updated peak was adjusted to 223.6 feet overnight tonight. Here again, it would be the second highest crest in Waterloo.

Downstream in Vinton, the Cedar River was 14.24 feet with a flood stage marker of 15 feet. The forecast calls for a crest of 22.5 feet Monday night.
