Vehicles in Ditches in Fayette County on New Years Eve

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating a couple of New Years Eve accidents.

The first one happened just before 2pm near the area of Klock Road and Highway 150, just south of Fayette. A car driven by 58 year old Steve Post was southbound, when he lost traction, driving into the ditch.

No one was injured, and damage was minimal to his 2001 Ford Taurus.

The other accident was reported shortly after 5pm Monday, near 70th Street and "C" Avenue, southeast of Arlington.

A pickup driven by 25 year old James Chapman of Dubuque had gone out of control, traveled off the road and into the ditch.

No one was injured, and there was no damage to his 2006 Ford F-250.
