Vandalism Investigation Nets 2 Arrests in Oelwein

Oelwein Police have arrested two northeast Iowa teenagers, accused of vandalizing property in the city.

Authorities concluded an investigation and have arrested 18 year old Madison Hutchinson of Strawberry Point, and 18 year old Tierra Happel of Lamont. Both were charged at the Oelwein Police Department, with Criminal Mischief-4th Degree, which is a serious misdemeanor. The incident was originally reported to police on July 25th.

An Oelwein man has been arrested on assault charges following an incident in the 200 block of 5th Avenue SW.
27 year old Jake Covault was taken into custody at about 10:30pm Thursday (Aug. 17), and charged with 2 counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
