Vandalism and Burglary Investigated in Oelwein

The Oelwein Police Department is looking into an early morning burglary, and a separate vandalism incident.

The break-in was reported at about 7am this (Monday) morning, in the 700 block of South Frederick in Oelwein.

The criminal mischief complaint was called in to police at about 7:20 this (Monday) morning. The damage was done in the 100 block of Steele Drive in Oelwein.

No other information was released on either of the incidents, which remain under investigation by the Oelwein Police Department.
