Vandalism and Burglary in Oelwein Under Investigation

Oelwein authorities are looking into some vandalism in the city.

Police received a report of the criminal mischief shortly after 2pm Sunday (June 18), in the 200 block of East Charles Street. No other information was released, other than it remains under investigation.

Oelwein Police are also investigating a burglary incident. The break-in was reported at about 8:30pm Wednesday (June 14) from the 300 block of 3rd Street NW. No other details were available.

And a local woman has been arrested on a driving violation. Just after 3pm Thursday (June 15), officers pulled over a car in the 1400 block of South Frederick in Oelwein. The driver, 27 year old Sandra McMurrin of Oelwein, was charged with Driving While her License is Barred.
