The U.S. Farmers and Ranchers alliance announced last week finalist for its Faces of Farming and Ranching program. The class of finalist was chosen after a nationwide search. The 8 finalist come from farms throughout the country. This is the second time USFRA has sought farmers and ranchers to speak on behalf of the industry in this capacity. Winners will share their stories and experiences about how food is grown and raised in the U.S. on a national stage through media interviews, consumer-facing public appearances and events. USFRA CEO Randy Krotz said “These exceptional farmers and ranchers will bring consumers, media and influencers a first-hand perspective of how food gets from the farm or ranch to the dinner table.” The public will have a chance to vote on who the next Faces of Farming and Ranching should be.  Winners will be announced in November.

The finalist are Erin Brenneman of Iowa, Jay Hill of New Mexico, Carrie Mess of Wisconsin, Thomas Titus of Illinois, Darrell Glaser and Brian Jones from Texas, Jessica Potter of Colorado and Carla Wardin, of Michigan.
