The Fayette County Sheriff's office is expecting more arrests concerning some underage drinking over the weekend.

Just before 5am Sunday, deputies were called to a home in Arlington for a noise complaint and some possible underage drinking. When officers arrived, everyone fled on foot.

Later, 18 year old Zachary Stevens of Oelwein was located in a field, west of Arlington. He was charged with public intoxication and possession of alcohol under the legal age of 21.

The incident is still under investigation, and more arrests are pending.

A resident of Prairieview Residential Center near Fayette has been arrested for allegedly stealing from another resident.

The Fayette County sheriff looked into the matter Sunday, and discovered that 18 year old Tiesha Pierce of Hubbard allegedly took some cash from other residents. She was arrested on a charge of theft in the fifth degree.

A Westgate motorist is being charged with causing a one-car accident, north of Maynard. It happened just before 7am Friday, at the intersection of W-25 and 130th street. A car driven by 55 year old James Avenson, was southbound, when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel.

The car went into a ditch. Avenson and his passenger were not hurt, and there was $2,000 damage to the car. Avenson was charged with failure to maintain control.
