Two Pickups Collide in NE Iowa

A Wisconsin motorist is being charged with causing a two vehicle accident in Fayette County that sent one person to the hospital.

It happened at about 10:45am Monday on Highway 18, just west of West Union. A pickup, pulling a small pop-up camper and driven by 77 year old Dale Lockington of Melrose, Wisconsin, went out of control and collided with a pickup driven by 35 year old Damian Copp of West Union, who was in the process of turning right into a farm drive.

A passenger in Lockington's vehicle was taken to the West Union hospital, to be treated for minor injuries.

Lockington was charged with failure to yield the right of way.
