Two Injured In Weekend Stabbing At Cedar Falls Bar

Cedar Falls police continue to investigate an assault that occurred at a local bar early Saturday (June 23, 2017).

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers were sent to Voo Doo Lounge, 401 Main St., after receiving a report that a stabbing had just occurred. Upon arrival, police learned that two people suffered injuries when an altercation broke out inside the business.

According to authorities, one victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital and the second victim did not require medical attention. The second victim was an employee who was attempting to break-up the fight, police said. No names were released.

Investigating officers talked with the two victims. They continue to interview other people who witnessed the altercation, police confirmed.
