Two Hurt When Motorcycles Crash In Clayton County

Two people were injured in an accident involving two motorcycles in Clayton County Tuesday afternoon (March 29, 2016).

The Iowa State Patrol responded to the mishap on Iowa Highway 13 near Elkader just before 2:30 p.m.

Injured in the crash were Donald Twining, 28, of Dubuque, and Schuyler White, 27, of Manchester. Twining was airlifted to University Hospitals in Iowa City, while White was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital in Elkader.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the two men were injured when Twining's motorcyle collided with the rear of White's motorcycle.

Clayton County sheriff's deputies assisted state troopers at the scene.
