VILLAGE OF WAUZEKA, Wis. (AP) — Two girls have died in a house fire in Crawford County.

Sheriff's officials say the victims are ages 12 and 15. Firefighters were called to a house in the Village of Wauzeka about 11:30 p.m. Monday. A caller said the house was fully engulfed in flames with smoke pouring from the windows.

The caller, neighbors and a sheriff's deputy all tried to enter the home but were driven back by smoke and fire. The girls' bodies were found once the fire was extinguished. Authorities say they were the only people home at the time of the fire.
