A Sumner man now faces several charges after crashing his truck in a ditch, and then leaving the scene of the accident.

Just before 5pm Tuesday, the Fayette County Sheriff was alerted of a vehicle in the ditch near the intersection of "X" Avenue and 140th Street, just southeast of Sumner. The driver had left before officers arrived.

He was identified as 24 year old Brandyn Seeman, who was later located by deputies at the Pronto Gas station in Sumner.

After looking into the matter, Seeman was charged with driving while his license is suspended, reckless driving, failure to maintain control, and not wearing a seatbelt.
Damage to the 1991 Chevy truck was estimated at $1,000; no one was injured.

A Strawberry Point motorist is being cited, after he crashed his car in rural Fayette County.

The accident happened at about 8pm Tuesday, east of Fayette. A county deputy witnessed a vehicle traveling east on Kornhill Road, go out of control, enter a ditch and roll onto it's top.

The driver, 29 year old Joseph Elsinger, was not injured. He was charged with failure to maintain control.
