Authorities have arrested a West Union man, following a traffic stop on a traffic violation.

Shortly after 1am Friday (Aug. 24), a Fayette County deputy pulled over a car for speeding in the city of Waucoma. During the stop, the deputy determined that the driver, 42 year old Daniel Ruroden of West Union, had a suspended driver's license. He also possessed methamphetamine. Ruroden was arrested and charged with Driving While License Suspended, Failure to have SR22 insurance, Excessive speed, Possession of Methamphetamine, and 2 counts of Possession of drug paraphernalia.

In 2 unrelated arrests on August 21st, deputies arrested two people on valid warrants. 23 year old Austin Halstead Clark was taken into custody on a Fayette County warrant for failure to appear. And 22 year old Michael Carlson was arrested for a Buchanan County warrant.
