The Fayette County Sheriff's Office has been busy with recent arrests.

On Saturday (Aug. 18), deputies arrested 40 year old Aaron Rochford for Criminal Trespassing. After a month-long investigation, authorities determined Rochford had entered a property in rural Fayette County with his car. The property had been clearly posted with No Trespassing signs, and photos were taken of Rochford while he was on the property.

Also on Saturday, the sheriff received a report of a man causing a disturbance at the Echo Valley Reception Center in West Union. Deputies arrested 51 year old Rex Heins of Postville on charges of Public Intoxication-1st Offense, and Interference with Official Acts.

Friday afternoon, the sheriff got a 911 call from Prairie View Residential Care Facility, regarding an out-of-control resident. Deputies found 33 year old James Patterson, had damaged property and overturned furniture. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Officers were called out Friday to Arlington, to resolve a civil dispute. 45 year old Thomas Gray of Sumner and 41 year old Angela Gray of Sumner, had a no-contact order in place to keep them separated. Both were arrested, as they were together.

On Friday evening, authorities responded to a harassment report in Westgate. After looking into the matter, 52 year old James Thomas of Sumner was arrested on a charge of Third Degree Harassment. The Bremer County Sheriff assisted in the arrest.

The Fayette County Sheriff took a Sumner man into custody late Friday afternoon, on a warrant for Failure to Appear. 44 year old Charles Evans was originally charged with Conspiracy to Commit an Aggravated Misdemeanor. The Winneshiek County Sheriff aided in the investigation.

And on Thursday, the Fayette County Sheriff served an arrest warrant on 24 year old Mykala Meike of Oelwein, for a probation violation. Meike was already in jail on unrelated charges. The Probation Violation warrant is a no bond warrant.
