A Northeast Iowa teacher has been arrested for allegedly instructing a high school class while drunk.


On Monday (April 9) the Fayette County Sheriff received a report from the administration of West Central High School in Maynard, that one of their teachers appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

A responding deputy arrested 49 year old Daniel Reisner of Sumner, after it was determined that Reisner had been teaching a high school class while intoxicated.

Reisner was taken to the Fayette County jail, on a charge of 1st Offense Public Intoxication.

According to sources, Reisner has been suspended from teaching.
