SUV Theft in Oelwein Being Investigated

The Oelwein Police Department is looking for the suspect who allegedly stole a sport utility vehicle.

Authorities received a report that an SUV was taken at about 6:30pm Thursday, from the Dollar General Store, located on South Frederick Avenue. The vehicle had been described as a 2009 silver Saturn SUV.

The vehicle was recovered about 45 minutes later, shortly after 7pm, in the 300 block of 5th Avenue SW.

No arrests have been reported, and the incident is still under investigation.
