Sumner Driver Charged With Striking Mail Box

A Sumner motorist is being cited after crashing her sport utility vehicle into a mailbox.

The accident happened Sunday afternoon (July 30), at about 4pm, in the 3100 block of 115th Street, which is northwest of Sumner in rural Bremer County.

An investigation by the Bremer County Sheriff concluded that a 1999 Ford Explorer, driven by 19 year old Natalie Meyer, struck a mailbox, then went into a nearby ditch.

No one was injured, but there was damage to the SUV and the mailbox.

Meyer was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
