Sheriff Makes Several Recent Arrests

An Oelwein motorist faces charges following a weekend traffic stop.

At about 11:30pm Saturday, a Fayette County deputy pulled over a car for not using headlights. After investigating, the driver, 20 year old Mackenzie Irvine was arrested for owi first offense, and child endangerment. Irvine was held until his initial court appearance.

The Fayette County sheriff received a report of a domestic disturbance in Oran Friday. Upon investigation, 41 year old John Harrington of Oran was arrested for driving while barred, and domestic abuse assault, 2nd offense.

After a week-long investigation, the Fayette County sheriff got an arrest warrant for 26 year old Jordan Bacon of Luana for harassment, 3rd degree. Bacon was accused of making numerous phone calls and text messages that were threatening in nature, to another person in Fayette County. Bacon was found in Allamakee County last Wednesday, where he was arrested and transferred to the Fayette County jail.

And a Fayette man, 26 year old James Gardner the second, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for a probation violation. He was held on a $500 bond.
