A Hawkeye man faces charges in an alleged assault on 2 people in Hawkeye.

The Fayette County Sheriff was called to a residence in Hawkeye at about 7am Saturday (Feb. 16), on the report of a domestic abuse incident. Responding deputies determined that two people were assaulted at the home. As a result, 31 year old Colter Kirby was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault, and Assault Causing Injury. Kirby was held until his initial court appearance.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office also arrested 2 area men on outstanding warrants.
On Tuesday (Feb. 19), 37 year old Tony Stewart of Oelwein was taken into custody on a valid Fayette County warrant for a parole violation. He was held in the Fayette County jail on a no-bond hold.

And on Friday, the sheriff located and arrested 34 year old Brent Fullhart of Clermont, on a warrant for Domestic Abuse Assault with Intent to Inflict Serious Injury-1st Offense. Fullhart was held in jail on a $9,999 cash-only bond.
