Shell Rock Teen Charged in Rural Waverly Rollover

An area teenager has been cited for causing a one-vehicle rollover accident in Bremer County.

Sheriff's deputies were called out shortly after 7pm Thursday (Sept. 28), to the 1200 block of 240th Street, just southwest of Waverly.

16 year old Alexandria Lambert of Shell Rock was driving a van westbound on 240th, when she lost control. The van entered the ditch, where it rolled over.

Lambert was not hurt, but a passenger, a 16 year old girl from Shell Rock, was taken to the Waverly hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Lambert was charged with Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle.

The Bremer County Sheriff was assisted by Waverly Paramedics and Waverly Fire Department.
