Rural Springville Accident Sends Hazleton Woman to Hospital

A Hazleton woman is recovering from injuries from a one-vehicle weather-related accident near Springville.

It happened at about 10am Friday (Feb. 8) at the intersection of County Home Road and Stone Road, northwest of Springville in rural Linn County.

20 year old Faith Stratton was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 23 year old Shawn Reverts of Ackley.

The vehicle was east bound on County Home Road, when Reverts lost control, and rolled it into a ditch.

Both Reverts and Stratton were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, both were wearing their seat belts.
