Those interested in helping prepare the city of Oelwein for over 10,000 bicycle riders next week, who are participating in the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, are encouraged to attend a town hall meeting Wednesday evening.

The RAGBRAI meeting is scheduled to start at 5:30pm Wednesday at the Oelwein community plaza. Organizers of the event will be available to answer questions on details and events which are planned for the RAGBRAI drive-through on Friday, July 25th. A short meeting for vendors will be held afterword.

Riders and their support vehicles will be converging on Oelwein after an overnight stay July 24th in Waverly.

The following day, the group will continue their state-wide ride through Oelwein, to their next overnight stop in Independence.

The riders will end the tour Saturday, by dipping their tires in the Mississippi river in Guttenberg.
