Three eastern Iowans have been injured in a two-vehicle accident in Linn County.

It happened at about 9:30am Wednesday at the intersection of the I-380 northbound off ramp and Lewis Access Road, near Center Point. An SUV driven by 36 year old Jessica Plasencia of North Liberty, failed to yield the right-of-way and struck a van driven by 73 year old Wanda Deemer of Quasqueton.

Plasencia was taken to Mercy Hopsital in Cedar Rapids; Deemer and her passenger, 71 year old Franklin Deemer, were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

According to the Linn County sheriff, all of the injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening.

Everyone was wearing their seatbelts.

Plasencia was charged with failure to obey a stop sign, and yield right of way.
