Police Looking for Information in Early Morning Burglary

The Oelwein Police Department is asking the public for information on a Monday morning (Nov. 5) break-in

Officers responded at about 3:30am to a burglar alarm located in the 1st block of East Charles in Oelwein. The incident remains under investigation. If anyone has information on the break-in,they are asked to call the Oelwein Police Department at 319-283-4311.

An Oelwein man has been arrested after police were called to a subject being disorderly in the 100 block of 7th Avenue SE at about 9pm Monday night. Officers took 36 year old Torrey Willie into custody on charges of Enhanced Public Intoxication, and Disorderly Conduct. Willie was also wanted on a Chickasaw County warrant for Assault Causing Injury.
