Police Arrest Area Woman For an Assault Incident

The Oelwein Police Department has taken a local woman into custody, after getting a report of an assault Monday afternoon.

Just before 4:30pm Monday (Oct. 2), authorities got a report of an assault that happened in the 400 block of 1st Avenue SE in Oelwein.

As a result, 31 year old Charlotte Scott of Oelwein was arrested on a charge of Assault Causing Injury, which is a Serious Misdemeanor.
