Pickup Crashes into Farm Equipment While Passing

A pickup driver is being cited for crashing into some farm equipment in rural Buchanan County.

The accident happened just after 12:30pm Friday (Nov. 17), on Highway 187, north of Lamont.

Patrick Kos of Anamosa was driving a pickup, following a tractor operated by Dallas Rathe of Lamont, that was pulling a farm disc implement.

Kos attempted to pass the tractor, but collided with the implement when Rathe signaled and made a left turn into a farm residence. No one was injured.

Kos was charged with Unsafe Passing.
