Ossian Man Arrested on Assault Charge

Authorities have arrested a Northeast Iowa man, after being called out to a reported incident in Ossian.

Just before 8pm Thursday (Aug. 17), Winneshiek County Sheriff's deputies were called out to some type of incident in Ossian.

After investigating the report, 59 year old Leon Herold of Ossian was arrested; he is being charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. The charge is an aggravated misdemeanor.
