One Dead in Head-on Crash Near Waukon

An Eastern Iowa man has died in a traffic accident in Allamakee County.
It happened at about 5pm Wednesday (Dec. 7) near the intersection of Highway 9 and Poleline Road, west of Waukon. An eastbound pickup driven by 43 year old Christopher Hoff of LeClaire, crossed the center line of Highway 9 and collided head-on with a westbound car driven by 44 year old Amy Robinson of Decorah.

Hoff was taken to Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, where he died from his injuries.

Robinson was also taken to the Waukon hospital, but sustained only minor injuries.

The accident was investigated by the Iowa State Patrol, with assistance from the Waukon Police and Fire Departments.
