Oelwein Police Looking into a Vandalism Incident

The Oelwein Police Department is reporting a vandalism incident on the southwest side of town.

It was reported to police on October 23rd at about 7:30am. The criminal mischief incident took place in the 600 block of 4th Avenue SW. It remains under investigation.

Oelwein Police are citing a local resident for failing to abate property, as was ordered. 61 year old Donald Latham was given a citation of Failure to Abate Property as Ordered. The property is located in the 600 block of 1st Street NE. The incident stems from a report taken on September 18th.
