Oelwein Police Investigate Sunday Theft

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating a theft.

The incident was reported to authorities at about 11:30am Sunday (July 16), from the 2300 block of South Frederick. No other information was released.

An Oelwein man has been taken into custody on two outstanding warrants.
Just before 5:30pm Friday (July 14), Oelwein Police arrested 37 year old Robert Moreno in the 10 block of 4th Street SW. Moreno was wanted on 2 Fayette County Sheriff's warrants, for Failure to Appear for a Contempt Hearing, and for Failure to Complete an Iowa Domestic Abuse Program.

And Oelwein police were called to a car/deer accident, at around 6:30pm Sunday, in the 1300 block of West Charles. A vehicle driven by Amber Decker collided with a deer in the road. No injuries were reported.
