Oelwein Police Investigate Burglaries, and More
The Oelwein Police Department is investigating a burglary that was reported early this (Wednesday) morning.
Authorities were called out at about 6am to the 1,000 block of Industrial Park Drive on the report of a break-in. No other information was released on the incident, which remains under investigation.
An Oelwein man was arrested on Christmas Eve afternoon, on a drug-related charge. 18 year old David Wright was taken into custody on a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The incident happened in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue NW.
An incident in the 100 block of West Charles in Oelwein resulted in the arrest of an Oelwein woman. 31 year old Tiffany Watts was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense, Failure to Yield, and No Insurance. The arrest was made at about 9:30pm Sunday.
Oelwein Police were called out Sunday morning to investigate a burglary. The incident was reported in the 200 block of 1st Street NE.
Another break-in is being investigated in the 10 block of 20th Street SE. The call came in to Oelwein Police dispatch at about 2:30pm Friday.
Authorities are also looking into some vandalism in Oelwein. Officers were called to the criminal mischief incident in the 900 block of 1st Avenue NW early Friday.
And an Oelwein man, 26 year old Brian Bass, was taken into custody Friday evening, following an incident in the 100 block of South Frederick. Bass was charged with Theft-5th Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
