Oelwein Police Cite Area Drivers, Investigate Theft

Oelwein Police have cited 2 area men for driving infractions over the weekend.

On Saturday (Oct. 6), officers pulled over a car in the 2600 block of South Frederick. The driver, 51 year old Roger Steadman of Sumner, was cited for Driving While his License is Suspended.

And early Friday, police made a traffic stop in the 10 block of 5th Avenue SE. The driver, 22 year old Brandon Latham of Oelwein, was also ticketed for Driving While Suspended, then released.

Oelwein Police are also looking into a theft. The incident was reported to police at about 5pm Sunday, from the 200 block of 3rd Avenue SE. No other details of the theft were released, and it remains under investigation.
