Oelwein Police Are Investigating a Theft and a Vandalism Incident

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating a theft, and a separate vandalism incident that were reported Sunday (Nov. 28) afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of a theft shortly after 3:30pm in the 700 block of 2nd Avenue NE. No other details were available. About an hour later, police received a call concerning Criminal Mischief in the 10 block of 3rd Avenue SE. Again, no other information was released. Both incidents remain under investigation.

A Hazleton man has been cited after a traffic stop in Oelwein at about 8:30pm Saturday, in the 10 block of 2nd Street NW. 27 year old Robert Rinella was ticketed for Driving While his License is Suspended, and given an equipment repair order for a license plate light.
