Oelwein Man Arrested on Meth and Driving Warrants

A local man has been arrested on two outstanding warrants from Fayette County.

36 year old Ryan Martin of Oelwein was taken into custody shortly after 9:30am Thursday (June 21), after an interaction with an Oelwein Police officer in the 10 block of 7th Avenue NE. Martin was wanted on warrants for Prohibited Acts of Manufacturing, Delivery and Consumption of Methamphetamine, and for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Driving While Barred. The Iowa State Patrol assisted Oelwein Police.

Oelwein Police are also investigating a vandalism and a theft. The Criminal Mischief incident was reported from the 200 block of 10th Street SW Thursday morning. The theft was reported in the 700 block of 3rd Avenue SW Thursday afternoon.
