Services for a McGregor woman, 76 year old Shirley Thornton, are Monday at 11am at First Lutheran church in rural McGregor; burial in Pleasant Grove cemetery. Visitation is 3-7pm Sunday at Thornburg Grau funeral home in McGregor, and an hour before services at the church.

A Nashua woman died Thursday; services for 92 year old Dorothy Anderson are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home, Olson Chapel, in Nashua.

Services for a Decorah woman, 91 year old Dorothy Rosenthal, are Saturday at 10:30am at First Lutheran church in Decorah. Burial in the Lutheran cemetery. Friends may call 4-6pm Friday at the church, and an hour before services.

Services for an Independence man, 86 year old Roger Miller, are Monday at 10am at St. John's Catholic church in Independence. Burial with military honors in the church cemetery. Friends may call 5-7pm Sunday at Reiff funeral home in Independence, with a 4:30pm rosary and 7:30pm wake service.

Services for a Decorah woman, Judith (Mrs. Howard) McIntosh, are Monday at 11am at First Lutheran church in Decorah. Burial in Phelps cemetery. Visitation is 2-6pm Sunday at Schluter Balik funeral home in Decorah, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for a Nashua woman, 94 year old Emma Day, are Saturday at 11am at Bethany Alliance church in Charles City. Inurnment at a late date in Richwood cemetery near Roodhouse, Illinois. Friends may call an hour before services at the church. Hauser funeral home in Charles City is in charge of arrangements.

Services for a long-time Jesup woman, 95 year old Majel Kehoe, are Monday at 10:30am at St. Athanasius church in Jesup. Burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery in Waterloo. visitation is 3-6pm Sunday at White funeral home in Jesup, with a 3pm Catholic Daughters of America rosary and 6pm vigil service, and an hour before services at the church.

Memorial services for a Maynard man, 55 year old John Van Brocklin, formerly of Fairbank, are Wednesday at 2pm at First Presbyterian church in Maynard. Inurnment at a later date. There is no visitation. Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Maynard is assisting the family.

An Oelwein man, 51 year old Scott Dempsey, died Thursday morning at Mercy Hospital; a memorial visitation will be held Monday, 4-8pm at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein. There will not be a memorial service.
