January 30 funeral announcements

Services for a Clermont man, 91 year old Eugene Thorson, will be held on Thursday at 11am at the East Clermont Lutheran Church in rural Clermont. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home in Clermont and also for an hour before service on Thursday at the church.

Services for a Manchester woman, 94 year old Rosalyn "Rose" Schaul, will be held on Wednesday at 11am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester. Interment will be held at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-7pm at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester where there will be a 3pm Scripture service. Friends may also call one hour prior to Mass at the church on Wednesday.

A visitation Service for a Independence man, 70 year old Gary Fousek, will be held on Wednesday from 5-7pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home in rural Oelwein. Internment will be held at a later date.

Services for a Waverly woman, 83 year old Rowena Bowen, will be held on Saturday at 11am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly. Burial will follow at Rockwell Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30am until the time of service. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly is assisting the family.

A Strawberry Point man, 63 year old Jerry Mozingo, passed away on Saturday. Arrangements are pending with Leonard-Muller Funeral home in Strawberry Point.

Services for a Waverly, 83 year old Duane Grimm, will be held today at 10:30am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maynard. Visitation will be held at 9:30am until the time of service a the church. Interment will be held at Long Grove Cemetery in Maynard.

Services for an Oelwein man, 32 year old Cody Dowd, will be held on Tuesday at 11am at Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein. Visitation will begin at 9:30am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial Service for a Strawberry Point woman, 75 year old Joan Downer, will be held on Wednesday at 3pm at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point. Visitation will be from 12:30 until the time of service at the funeral home.

Services for a Postville man, 80 year old Charles Deering will be held on Friday at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Thursday at the church an will also be an hour before services at the church on Friday. The Schutte-Grau Funeral Home in Postville is assisting the family.

Services for an Orchard woman, 87 year old Patricia Wetter, will be held at 11am on Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Services for a Shell Rock resident, 89 year old Frances "Fran" Kirchhoff, will be held on Friday at 10:30am at Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday from 4-7pm at Rettig Funeral Home in Tripoli and will continue for one hour preceding services at the church on Friday.
