January 17 funeral announcements

Services for an Aurora woman, 90 year old Alice Quint, will be held on Saturday at 10:30am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Winthrop. Burial will be at Paint Rock Cemetery at Harpers Ferry. Visitation will be from 9-10am on Saturday at Fawcett's Funeral Home in Winthrop.

Services for a Protivin man, 79 year old William "Bill" Berka, will be held on Friday at 11am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Protivin. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-10:40pm on Friday at the church with a rosary at 10:40pm. Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Protivin is assisting the family.

Services for a Cedar Falls man, 97 year old Henry Johnson, will be held on Friday at 10:30am at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial with military honors will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly from 5-7pm.

Services for a Hazelton man, 70 year old John Roth Sr., will be held at 11am on Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Hazelton. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Wednesday at Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein with a rosary at 3:45pm and military honors to follow at 7:30pm.

Services for an Osage man, 70 year old Robert "Rob" Lenz, will be held on Friday at 10:30am at First United Methodist Church in Osage. Burial will be at the Osage Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Services for a New Hampton woman, 92 year old Marylen Trappe, will be held on Wednesday at 10am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Monona. Friends may call from 9am up until the service time at the church. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Leonard-Grau Funeral Home is assisting the family.

A Little Cedar man, 80 year old Millard "Bud" Abben, died Friday; graveside internment services will be held Saturday at 11am at Liberty Cemetery in Little Cedar. A celebration of life will be held afterword, at the Osage VFW. Champion Bucheit funeral home is handling arrangements.

An Elkader man died Monday; services for 80 year old Stanley Erickson are pending at Leonard Grau funeral home in Elkader.
