February 21 funeral announcements

Visitation for an Elgin man, 68 year old Richard "Dick" Schultz, will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at the Leonard-Grau Funeral Home in Elgin. There will be a Celebration of Life service at 7pm at the funeral home that day. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Services for a Decorah woman, 96 year old Irene McConnell, will be held on Saturday at 10:30am at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Decorah. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Friday at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah and on Saturday beginning at 9:30am till the time of service at the church. There will be a Rosary at 4:30pm on Friday at the funeral home.

Services for a Lawler woman, 79 year old Ellen Stange, will be held on Wednesday at 11am at St. John's Stapleton Lutheran Church in rural Waucoma with interment at the church cemetery. Hugeback-Johnson funeral home in Fredericksburg is assisting the family.

Services for an Oelwein woman, 85 year old Shirley Jensen, will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am at Grace United Methodist Church in Oelwein. Visitation will be held today (Tuesday) from 4-7pm at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein and will continue for an hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be at Floral Hill Memorial Gardens in rural Oelwein.

Services for a Waukon woman, 102 year old Eula Thies, will be held Tuesday at 11am at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon. Burial will be in Phelps Cemetery in Decorah. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting the family.

Services for a Decorah woman, 81 year old Martha Rude, will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the Highland Lutheran Church in rural Decorah. Burial will be in the Highland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-6pm on Tuesday at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home and also after 10am at the church on Wednesday.

Services for a Decorah man, 82 year old Thomas Weis, will be held on Tuesday (today) at 10:30am at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Decorah. Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation service for a Decorah resident, 82 year old Lowell "Buzz" Bruening, will be held Thursday from 4-7pm at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah. A private family burial will be held at a later date with full military honors.

A New Haven man, 90 year old Donald Helfter, passed away on Wednesday. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage is assisting the family.

Visitation Services for a Shell Rock and Finchford man, 97 year old Wilbur Anderson, will be held Tuesday from 3-5pm at Meadows Assisted Living Chapel in Shell Rock. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly is assisting the family.

Services for an Oelwein woman, 87 year old Florence Sondrol, will be held on Saturday at 10:30am at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein. Visitation will be from 3-7pm on Friday at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein.

Visitation Service for an Oelwein man, 65 year old Michael Ricchio, will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein. A private service will be held.

Services for an Elgin man, 63 year old Donald Hanson, will be held on Thursday at 11am at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Elgin. Inurnment will be a Apostolic Cemetery in Elgin. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7pm at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home in Elgin and will continue an hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Services for an Osage man, 80 year old Richard Lunde, will be held on Thursday at 10:30am at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

A Celebration of life service for a Monona man, 83 year old Louis Seitz, will be held at the Monona Community Center on Sunday from 2-5pm. Inurnment will be held at 12:30pm, Sunday, at Farmerburg-Wagner Cemetery. Leonard-Grau Funeral Home is assisting the family.
