Services for a Manchester woman, 83 year old Estella Michels, are Saturday at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic church in Manchester. Private family inurnment will be at a later date at St. Francis Xavier cemetery in Dyersville. Visitation is 2-8pm Friday at Leonard Muller funeral home in Manchester, with a 2pm scripture service, and an hour before services at the church.

An Elma woman died Tuesday; services for 85 year old Vera Bueckmann are pending at Conway Markham funeral home in Elma.

Memorial services for a former Lawler and Waterloo man, 83 year old Carl "John" Loewen of Plainfield, are Saturday at 1pm at Conway Markham funeral home in New Hampton. Visitation is 2 hours before services. Burial at a later date.

Services for an Independence man, 98 year old Leo Michael, are Friday at 10:30am at St. John's Catholic church in Independence. Burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call 4-8pm Thursday and 8-10am Friday at Reiff funeral home in Independence, with a 4pm rosary, 7pm military service, and 7:30pm parish vigil service on Thursday.

Services for an Independence woman, 81 year old Norma Strempke, are Friday at 2pm at White funeral home in Independence. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday at the funeral home.

A Castalia woman died Tuesday; services for 88 year old Margery Gorden, are pending at Schmitz Grau funeral home in Ossian.

Services for a Decorah man, 92 year old Vernon "Bud" Bahr, are Saturday at 2pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran church in Decorah. Burial in Phelps cemetery with full military honors. Visitation is 5-7pm Friday at Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah, and an hour before services at the church.
