A former Arlington woman died Wednesday; services for 69 year old Phyllis Kirk of Ames are pending at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Arlington.

An Oelwein woman, 89 year old Darlene Jones, died Tuesday; friends and family will gather from 1-3pm Wednesday (Jan. 3) at Darlene's home, at 21 5th Avenue SE in Oelwein for a time of sharing. Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein is assisting the family.

Services for a Cresco woman, 84 year old Donna Groth, are Friday at 2:30pm at St. Paul's Maple Leaf Lutheran church. Burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call an hour before services at the church. Lindstrom funeral home is helping the family.

Services for an Osage man, 59 year old David "Famous Dave" Walters, are Saturday at 10:30am at the Gospel Lighthouse church in Floyd. Burial in the Osage cemetery. Visitation is 5-7pm Friday at Champion Bucheit funeral home in Osage.

Services for a Cresco man, 83 year old Donald Breitsprecher, are Saturday at 11am at Immanuel Lutheran church in Cresco. Burial in Burr Oak cemetery. Friends may call 4-7pm Friday at Lindstrom funeral home in Cresco, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for a Waverly woman, 81 year old Mary Anhalt, are Wednesday at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic church in Waverly. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery in Waverly. Visitation is 4-7pm Tuesday at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly with a 7pm scripture service.

Memorial services for a Riceville man, 63 year old Mark Gaffey, are Saturday at 11am at Hindt Hudek funeral home in Riceville. Visitation is an hour before services.

A former Independence man, 69 year old Dwight Hertzberg of Woodward, died December 21st. A gathering of friends and relatives will be held Friday at 11am at White funeral home in Independence, followed by a committal service at Mt. Hope cemetery. A special memorial service is planned for a later date at the Woodward Resource center.
