A Nashua resident died Sunday; services for 87 year old Lavern Gibbs are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson Chapel in Nashua.

Memorial services for an Independence woman, 90 year old Maxine Schweitzer, are Saturday at 11am at Quasqueton Union Church. Friends may call an hour before services. White funeral home in Independence is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial services for a Decorah man, 91 year old Merlin Tangen, are Wednesday at 11am at Good Shepherd Lutheran church in Decorah, with full military honors. Visitation is an hour before services at the church. Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah is assisting the family.

A former Nashua man, 91 year old George Cowell of Richland, Missouri, died Saturday. Services are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson Chapel in Nashua.

Services for a Nashua man, 91 year old David Rodamaker, are today, Monday at 10:30am at United Methodist church in Nashua. Visitation is an hour before services. Burial in Sunnyside cemetery in Charles City.

Services for a Sumner woman, 78 year old Marilyn Sauerbrei, are Thursday at 10:30am at St. John Lutheran church in Sumner. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Wednesday at the St. John Lutheran Parish Hall, and an hour before services at the church. Becker Milnes funeral home is assisting the family.

A Fayette man died Sunday; services for 85 year old Urban Berkes are pending at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein.

A Manchester woman died Sunday; services for 91 year old Iva Taylor are pending at Leonard Muller funeral home in Manchester.

Services for a Charles City woman, 77 year old Darlene "Dolly" Benton, are Wednesday at 3pm at Hauser funeral home. Burial at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City. Friends may call an hour before services at the funeral home.

A former Wadena man, 77 year old Guy Dietz of Elma, died Wednesday. A gathering time will be held 4-8pm Saturday at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Arlington. Military honors will be presented at a private family time.
