Upper Iowa Ready For Road Test At Northern State [Audio]

The Upper Iowa Peacocks are on the road for their week three game, facing the Wolves of Northern State on Saturday (Sept. 16, 2017). Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. from Swisher Field in Aberdeen, S.D.

The Peacocks (1-1) are coming off a 33-21 loss to No. 21 Minnesota-Duluth in their home opener last week, while Northern State (1-1) was held to two rushing yards in a 37-7 by No. 9 Sioux Falls on the road.

Upper Iowa is 4-2 all-time against the Wolves and is seeking its fifth-straight win in the series. The Peacocks played Northern State four times from 2006-09, but the teams have met only twice in the last seven seasons. Upper Iowa won the most-recent meeting, 17-6, in the 2015 season-opener in Fayette.

All season long, Upper Iowa football can be heard on AM-950 KOEL with play-by-play announcer Joe Stasi, who's in his 15th consecutive season as the "Voice of the Peacocks" and 17th overall. Zach Carlisle will be joining Stasi on the broadcast this week. The pre-game show starts at 12:30 p.m.
