The Upper Iowa Peacocks are hoping to continue their success against Northern Sun Conference (NSIC) North Division opponents when they face the University of Mary on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 12, 2015).

The Peacocks are seeking their eighth-straight cross-division victory following last weekend's 17-6 win over Northern State in Fayette. Defensively, they allowed just a pair of field goals and 235 yards of offense to the Wolves. Leading the unit was this week's NSIC Defensive Player of the Week Alex Wahl, who recorded 10 tackles and an interception.

After one week of play, Upper Iowa boasts the top scoring defense in the league, along with the second-best yards allowed.

Entering Saturday's 1 p.m. game in Bismarck, N.D., the Peacocks have won ten of their last 13 games against North Division competition. They are seeking their second-straight win in the series with U-Mary, which dropped its season-opening game, 55-7, at No. 17 Sioux Falls last week.

Upper Iowa is seeking its second-straight win in the series. The Peacocks posted their first win over the Mauraders two years ago, the last time the two teams met. Prior to 2013, U-Mary had beaten Upper Iowa four-straight games.

With this weekend's trip to central North Dakota, Upper Iowa Coach Tom Shea is returning to familiar terrority. Shea was in charge of the U-Mary football team from 1991-96.
