NE Iowa Teen Dies in Clayton County Traffic Accident
A two-vehicle accident in Clayton County has taken the life of a Greeley teenager.
It happened shortly after 11pm Friday (Feb. 16) at the intersection of Littleport Road and East Mission Road, northwest of Edgewood.
A car driven by 20 year old Kory Doeppke of Elkader failed to stop at the stop sign, and was struck by a pickup driven by 31 year old Sean Chopard of Edgewood.
One of the passengers, 16 year old Brady Edwards of Greeley, was ejected and died at the scene. Another passenger, 15 year old Tori Bolsinger of Edgewood, was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. 16 year old Izaiah Drinkwater of Manchester was ejected; he and Kory Doeppke were taken to University Hospitals in Iowa City, in critical condition. Chopard was not hurt.
The accident remains under investigation by the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.
