Residents in one Northeast Iowa school district are going to the polls today, to vote on a multi-million dollar bond issue

The special election is being held in the Central Community School district, which includes Elkader, St. Olaf, Volga, and Elkport.

Voters are deciding on a $6 million bond referendum, to remodel the K-12 building, making it 100% accessible to students, as well as area residents.

An updated security system is also included, as well as more classroom space.

Polls are open from 7am to 8pm in the Central Community School district in Clayton County.
